Even when treatment is helping, the process can still be difficult. You may be dealing with side effects, changes in appetite, body image, new habits, changes in confidence, or shifts in relationships and intimacy.
Group therapy creates a private community to talk through those experiences without having to explain why they matter. The results speak for themselves. Acceptance-based behavioral treatment produced 36% greater weight loss than standard behavioral treatment at 12 months in the Mind Your Health randomized controlled trial.
This is first and foremost a safe space. From there, we discuss many topics, including body image, food and habits, medication adjustment, confidence, identity, relationships, intimacy, frustration, plateaus, fear of regaining weight, and the emotional impact of major physical change.
Every single groups is led by a licensed therapist specialized in talking about the emotional and psychological side of medically supported weight loss.
An evidence based approach to weight loss: the goal is not to teach you how to lose weight or manage your medication. The goal is to give you a place to process what is changing, build healthier patterns, and connect with people who understand the experience.
After your first group session, you will also receive access to our growing private member community.
